The Brian LaViolette Scholarship Foundation would like to thank David and Quinn Kaster for their generous donation

When David Kaster heard about the upcoming LaViolette Watch Auction at Christie’s, he was inspired. As a real estate broker for Sotheby’s International Realty, it might seem ironic for him to support an auction at Christie’s, but the cause resonated with him deeply and David wanted to take the opportunity to combine his passion for fine watches with a meaningful life lesson for his daughter, Quinn.

Splitting his time between his offices in Sister Bay, Green Bay, and Milwaukee, David often reflects on life during his hours on the road. These moments behind the wheel gives him time to think about the future, especially his plans for his estate and his treasured collection of wristwatches. One day, the collection will belong to 14-year-old Quinn, his “heir apparent.”

David saw the auction as a unique opportunity to teach Quinn a valuable lesson about giving. He asked her to choose one watch from the collection—one that she particularly liked—to donate and help support others on their educational journeys. Quinn, whose favorite color is blue, chose a stunning 1970s Rolex DateJust with a blue dial and Oyster bracelet.

Creating their Legacy Together

Together, father and daughter are donating the watch in the hope that it will contribute to the LaViolette Foundation’s mission of making a difference in students’ lives. As the auction draws to a close, it will be a meaningful moment for them to witness the impact of their shared decision, knowing that they are helping future generations reach their dreams.our story online can make all the difference.
