John Bradley Scholarship of Honor
John Bradley graduated from Appleton West in 1942. He served his country as a US Navy Corpsman in World War II. Bradley received the prestigious Navy Cross for his bravery in saving lives at Iwo Jima. After he returned from the war, he married high school sweetheart, Betty, and they had eight children. He fulfilled his life-long dream by buying and managing his own funeral parlor. Bradley's loss in 1994 at the age of 70 saddened his home town of Appleton, Wisconsin and the family he left behind.
