Matt Atkinson Community Scholarship of Honor
The Matt Atkinson Community Scholarship of Honor was established to recognize and commemorate the actions of Matt Atkinson, who in 2006, notified school officials of a potentially violent situation at his school, Green Bay East High School. Matt is a true hero and saved the lives of many that day.
The “Community Scholarship of Honor” is for anyone with those core ideals of making our community a better place. Like our other Scholarships of Honor, the recipient receives our specially crafted medal, but the “Community” award comes with a green ribbon to symbolize our neighborhoods, our community and our coming together for the greater good of all.
