Mike "Coach K" Krzyzewski has been the head coach of the Duke men's basketball team since 1980. He also coached the United States men's national basketball team, leading them to three gold medals at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympics. After graduating from West Point, he served as an Army Officer from 1969 to 1974 and is an author, motivational speaker, and very proud grandfather.
Coach K and his family also founded the Emily Krzyzewski Center in honor of his mother. Its mission is to inspire students from kindergarten to high school to dream big, act with character and purpose, and to reach their potential as leaders in the community.
