…because a watch’s greatest value is the story it leaves behind.

In 1983, a little boy from Green Bay, Wisconsin, received a watch from his parents. It was a simple Swiss Made, Green Bay Packers watch. He was just four years old.

What nobody could have known at the time was that this little watch would inspire something much bigger.

The boy’s name was Brian LaViolette.

A decade later, when Brian was lost in a swimming accident at age fifteen, a promise was made that in his name and memory, we would accomplish great things.

That promise became a scholarship.

That scholarship became another.

And another.

Today, more than 1,200 scholarships have been awarded throughout 18 states and three foreign countries. And it all traces back to a young boy who loved watches.

The Legacy Watch Program

The Brian LaViolette Foundation Legacy Watch Program gives watches a second opportunity to make a difference.

People from around the world donate watches that are sold, online and in America’s premier auction houses, with 100% of the proceeds invested in the Foundation’s Endowment Trust Fund to support future scholarships. Some donated watches are rare. Others are not. Some are valuable. Others simply have a story. The common thread is that each watch becomes part of something bigger than itself. It becomes part of a legacy. If you have a watch that deserves a meaningful next chapter, we would be honored to help tell its story.

That historic donation beat the world record for the most expensive Swatch Watch sold at auction!
